Valentine's Day PE Playlist

February 10, 2020

Need a great Valentine's warm up? Check out the Sweetheart Road Virtual Runner

What better way to embarrass the kids in your classes than to drop some romantic hits on Valentine's Day. This playlist hits on the classics like Unchained Melody and Do Wah Diddy as well as movie classics like Kiss From a Rose and I Don't Want to Miss a Thing. Then there's modern hits like Worth It (released in 2019) and Justin Bieber's Yummy (released in 2020).

About Spicy Lyrics

Everybody has different views on what's okay to play around kids and what isn't. So here's how this works. Below, you'll see all the songs on the playlist. If you click the song, you'll see the lyrics pop up. But not just lyrics. You'll also see questionable content is highlighted like this.

Questionable content is highlighted by word so you can read it for context. The spiciest words are highlighted in red. Medium words are highlighted in orange. And any word highlighted in yellow is either very mild or it's a word like "head" where it could be okay or absolutely not okay, depending on the context.

Spicy Lyrics is a tool I created on my iPhone/iPad to help me quickly see if songs are appropriate to play in the gym. I love it so much, I'm giving it away so you all can use it on your phones.

*This track starts out using the word "damn" a couple times. Some people are fine with that. To me, it's pretty glaring and unnecessary for my classes. In Apple Music, there's a work-around for songs that have intros and outros that you don't want. You can only do this from a computer as there isn't a way to do it on iOS yet.

  • Add the song to your library
  • Right click the song then click Song Info
  • Then in the Options tab, choose the start time

Boom! Now you can skip the beginning or end parts to a song.
