Playlist Power

Part 1

Pump Up the Jam

It's no secret that music makes us move. It gets the kids going too. In my experience, it's great if the kids know close to 50% of the songs you choose (and they aren't already sick of them... here's looking at you "Let it Go" from Frozen). With that, add some stuff you like to keep the day moving and expose kids to a variety of music.

Winter 2019 Playlist

Here's what I'm rocking in the gym at the moment. Apple Music Playlist

Hip Hop

  • Border Girl - Young Fathers
  • Reborn - Kids See Ghosts (labeled as explicit but it isn't)

  • Songs off the new Spider-Man Soundtrack (which is excellent hip hop)
  • Home - Vince Staples
  • Scared of the Dark - Lil Wayne & Ty Dolla $ign
  • Start a Riot - DUCKWRTH & Shaboozy (this one is my favorite. It's a banger for sure. Kids love it. Some kids might find it too intense)
  • Elevate - DJ Khalil
  • Sunflower - Post Malone & Swae Lee

Rock/Alt/Pop

  • TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME - The 1975
  • When the Curtain Falls - Greta Van Fleet

  • Watching Over - Greta Van Fleet
  • Nina Cried Power - Hozier
  • The New Day - Greta Van Fleet
  • The Background - Third Eye Blind (some solid 90s alt)
  • Every Step That I Take - Tom Morello
  • Bad Liar - Imagine Dragons
  • Nothing Breaks like a Heart - Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus
  • Believer ft. Lil Wayne - Imagine Dragons

Older

  • [Rock] Nobody But Me - The Human Beingz
  • [Rock] '39 - Queen
